The author points out that this restrictive regulation of reproductive rights in the Embryo Protection Act is not in fact required by the German constitution. Taking into account the experiences of the United Kingdom, a reform proposal is drafted - tying the use of tissue typing to conceive a saviour sibling to strict conditions, but enabling the process in the future.
