Although they are written in the form of sermons, these writings are not primarily intended to be preaching vehicles, although they could be used as resources for that purpose. They are presented in these forms, however, as ways by which the person who reads them can find him / herself caught up into a deeper understanding of the grace of God that became incarnate in the person of Jesus Christ.
