Produktinformationen "Welcome to The Rook Book 2"
The city of The Rook-population 152,000 (not counting the undead-and many don't)-is a curious mix of an Elizabethan and Victorian city with a fair sprinkling of intrigue and magic. The Rook is the home of the four schools of Thaumaturgy. These comprise of Hydromancers (water), Pyromancers (fire), Circumancers (air), and last (but definitely not least) Terramancers (earth). The Rook is the home of Erisa and Calico, the cat (who isn't actually a cat at all). Erisa wants an easy life, avoiding the officers of the law (but not the pie-men), but she's also desperate for an adventure-and she's about to find it. Mayor Bradley Mackrell just wants to play Stickball. Captain Virgil Steele just wants everyone to do as he says. Ace reporter Verity Apley wants to get the latest scoop, and consultative detectives Lysander Ravencrest and his companion, Doctor Gregory Bancroft, just want to solve any cases presented to them without wanting to strangle each other. Not only that, but there's a strange man with a very odd name swinging on a rope around the city, fighting crime - or at least scaring the local dog population. Now that the sigil of the Hydromancer's has been found, you would think all was well, but that could hardly be further from the truth, as the remaining three sigils have to be brought together to save the city, and in The Rook, that is never going to be easy. A brand-new series featuring a large cast of very odd characters, "The Rook: Book Two: The Stones of Binding" is the second book in a trilogy of fantastic and not entirely serious adventures.
