WACKEN FOR BEGINNERS

After her first experiences as an author in the 1990s with the "Kauderwelsch Band Costa Rica", which she wrote after a year's stay in Central America, and "How about a sheep - Surprising impulses for climate changes in the office" in 2018 "WACKEN for Beginners 2019" (that she didn’t just write for WACKEN-GREENHORNS) is her third book of hearts. The idea of writing this special homage to WACKEN came to her mind at her first Wacken in 2018. This Festival visit was only possible because she surprisingly got a ticket two days before the festival started. Within a very short time she had to decide wether to go to WACKEN or not. Although it quickly became clear, that she had to drive alone, she decided to do so. At over 30°C she made her way by train to WACKEN with only a small pink backpack and her sleeping bag as companion.-A thousand stories about WACKEN haunted her head, but absolutely ZERO real experience. Fortunately she met many experienced Wacken visitors on the way, who were always there to help and advice her. In the end it was these encounters that made her days in Wacken an unforgettable experience. She has written this book to be able to gratefully pass on her insights and experiences to others who may be in a similar situation or who simply want to get a little more involved with what actually makes this incredibly delightful WACKEN feeling.
