Understanding Aquatic Ecology

The branch of ecology which studies the interactions between various organisms which dwell in water bodies, and their surroundings, is known as aquatic ecology. Lentic ecosystems are made up of slow moving water. Lotic ecosystems consist of faster moving water, such as streams and rivers.
