The extraordinary Vicky and Marcos Micha Levy Collection and its masterpieces This publication honors Mexican collectors Vicky and Marcos Micha Levy and traces their extraordinary artistic journey, bringing to light how, over a period of fifty years, they established a collection of the highest level. Driven by a keen sense of research, infallible eye, deep knowledge, and a passion for seeking out a great prize they amassed works spanning the development of modernity in Mexico with prevalent figures of Modernism and the national avant-garde such as José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, Manuel Rodríguez Lozano, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo, Wifredo Lam, Roberto Matta in juxtaposition to pioneers in modern art with major works by Chagall, Picasso, Duchamp. Later, their interest focused on contemporary artists such as Allen Jones, David Hockney, Anselm Kiefer, Miquel Barceló and Robert Rauschenberg.
