The grave was still a dark, gloomy, unconquered pit, but then came the rosy dawn of the third day. The third day of hope itself. The third day, the resurrection morning, that would glow in the eyes of every future child of God. The third day, when the angels of heaven swooped from the patios of heaven and rolled the stone away, not to let Him out but let us in, to see that He has risen and our sins are forgiven. On the third day, in the damp and dark tomb, walked out the Light of the world, Jesus Christ. The empty tomb is the only place in the world where people line up for blocks to see something that isn't there when they get there. The best news ever came from the cemetery! The resurrection!
