The Prophet: For a New Generation is a contemporary edition of the prose-poetry fables written in English by the Lebanese American poet and writer Kahlil Gibran. The original book, The Prophet, is undoubtedly Gibran's best-known work. It has been translated into over a hundred languages, making it one of the most translated books in history and one of the bestselling books of all time. The story focuses on the prophet Almustafa who has lived in the city of Orphalese for twelve years and is about to board a ship that will carry him home. He is stopped by a group of people with whom he discusses topics such as life and the human condition.
