Produktinformationen "The Miraculous Miracles and Signs of Jesus"
This is the study of the Gospel of John. While the four Gospels (Matt., Mark, Luke, and John) discuss similar aspects of the life and times of our Lord's public ministry to Israel [Rom. 15:8], each of the Four Gospels writers have their unique purpose and reason for writing their Gospel. Matthew emphasizes the King and Kingdom of God, with the uniqueness of Jesus to fulfill what is written by the prophets, Mat. 5Z:17, 18. John is evangelist to Judea and Jerusalem. His emphasis is "signs" (KJV is miracles). Part One is devoted to John's prologue or introduction, which covers four chapters. Please study the prologue or introduction [John 1:1-18] well. This is because from John's introduction he lays down the foundation to establish Jesus (HEB Yehoshua) as the Promised Messiah and Redeemer for the entire world.John 1:29Part Two is the eight unique signs in his Gospel. Signs were particular to Jewish audience. (Some expositors note seven signs, but I am convinced there are eight signs. This excludes Peter walking water which is not in John's Gospel only in Matthew, which shall be discussed due its importance.) Signs were written to prove that Yehoshua is indeed the promised Messiah to Israel.1 Cor. 1:22One of the key words for John is "believe" or "trust, " which he uses nearly a hundred times. Careful, the word "believe" is more than acknowledging the fact that it is historically true. The word "believe" involves personal commitment and trust in Jesus as Sovereign Lord. Simple historical or intellectual belief may not be genuine saving faith in Christ. And for this reason I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know the one in whom I have put my trust [GK pisteuo, believed], and I am sure that he is able to guard until that day what I have entrusted to him. (2 Tim. 1:12 NRS)Friend, I hope you are not just believing in Jesus, but you are trusting in Him as your Lord and Redeemer.Acts16:31
