The Men I Loved

This is a story of a dysfunctional family and broken dreams. A story of love, struggle, heartbreak, disappointment, addiction, mental illness, mental abuse, and codependency. The story shares a woman's journey from childhood to teenage years, to motherhood, and to graying hair. It's a story of life after marrying a man at age 19, who would later become a drug Kingpin. Her life transitioned from the suburbs of Chicago, to a life of private Jets, limousines, and luxury waterfront homes. Her life takes another turn when she remarries and struggles to survive with two children and a man who becomes addicted to alcohol and drugs. The story is about her losses and struggles throughout her career, and the survival challenges brought on during the Great Recession of 2008. It's about her inability to deal with a son with mental issues who later comes out as a transgender female. As an escape from her life of disappointments, she becomes obsessed with a man who was aloof and unavailable. Her story spans through historic times that include the 9/11 Twin Tower attack, The Great Recession, Trump's presidency, the Pandemic, the 2020 elections, and the insurrection of our Nation's Capital.
