An extremely powerful image by master Canadian illustrator Ted Nasmith. It depicts the scene where the Ents attack Isengard led by Treebeard. This image was first used in the Tolkien Calendar in 2003 but has not been seen much since then.. It is part of a series that includes other images by Nasmith, namely Rhosgabel, A Song in the Trollshaws and Bilbo and the Hobbits. The series also includes images by John Howe, Antonio de Luca and Francesco Mattioli.
