When successful bakery owner Cheyenne receives news of her beloved grandfather's passing, she returns to her family in Pennsylvania grief-stricken. The last thing she expects to hear when she's there is that Gramps made her the sole beneficiary of the cherished family home in Penn Ridge, Pennsylvania. Now, in order to fulfill her grandfather's last wishes, she has to leave the life she built in New York for an old house overrun with memories in the small town where she spent her childhood summers. It all seems like too much to bear until she meets the property's handsome new maintenance man. Since his wife's death six years ago, Jesse Kaiser has fully immersed himself in the roles of business owner and single father. When long-time friend and grandfather-figure Caleb Anderson passes away and leaves a large sum of money to take care of his home, Jesse meets Caleb's granddaughter Cheyenne, who makes him feel something for the first time in years. When the beginnings of love start to form between the two, Cheyenne's past commitment issues and Jesse's fear of moving on begin to take their toll.
