State of Grace

This is thesequel to Fall from Grace, revisiting the troubled Hearn family in theaftermath of the tragic loss of their son Gabriel. The Hearns' lives have taken on a 'new normal' andthey strive to support each other, still living on the beautiful island ofAnglesey. There are secrets surrounding Gabriel's suicide, and the subsequentdeaths of both his godparents, that only Dan Hearn, his son Michael and brotherJack know about. The three men have made a pact to ensure that Grace neverfinds out the truth. Life continues undisturbed until magazineproprietor Adam Foster, brother of deceased Nick Foster, the twins' godfather,visits Anglesey to try to establish the truth. Dan Hearn becomes suspiciousabout Adam's real motive for visiting Anglesey and informs Jack. With JackHearn's involvement, Adam Foster is in more danger than he could possiblyimagine. Adam's journalism takes himto sacred ancient sites, extraordinary people, and more than one unexpectedvisit from his own demons. He attempts to alert Grace to the truth, but Jack conspires with Dan and Michael to preventthe harmful and distasteful truth from emerging. Using his power and influence, Jack tries to revokeAdam's resolve and return him to a life he thought he'd left behind.
