Many teachers consider ensemble playing a rich source of pedagogical benefit. However, the range of available publications includes only few editions that are particularly easy to play by an ensemble consisting of similar instruments, whose players are often beginners on their respective instruments. The collection presented here tries to help improve this situation. The pieces for flute quartets take the limited technical skills of beginners into account, have proven their usefulness in practice, and encourage and train the student specifically. The titles, such as "the locomotive" will inspire the flutist's imagination.
