The major attempt of this book is to get Americans started on the path of an alternative vision, that they can refine as they go along. The vision that is presented here includes a stronger democracy, a much stronger jobs and economy strategy that is pro-employment and pro-environment, better universal healthcare, a better and more environmentally sustainable economy, more fulfilment of basic needs, stronger minority rights, an environmentally clean nation, stronger women's rights, considerably reduced internal violence, common sense gun control, a pro-employment and pro-environment trade strategy, reform of financial sectors so that they are more favorable for Main Street, and a sensible defense policy that does not break the bank and promotes both security and world peace. This book needs to be in the hand of everyone: movements leaders, party leaders, candidates, elected officials, organization leaders, people politically active, and then last but not least, all voters and all citizens. The manual and this book are intended to energize, educate, motivate and arm political activists, citizens and voters to turn their country around, so that America provides a fair prosperity to all in a manner that is good for itself and for the world.
