Produktinformationen "Rediscovering the Goddess"
In high school, I chose I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou, for a book report. This book is an unforgettable autobiography detailing the strength, courage and wisdom of an amazing Black woman. I researched why a caged bird may sing:Struggle Unfair treatment Unrest in the soul For me, I experienced all three.....an internal struggle of wanting to be it all: a mother, wife, entrepreneur, daughter, sister, best friend, employee, world traveler, and an explorer all while being untamed. There was a sense of unfair treatment within the patriarchal world that demonstrated an imbalance amongst gender roles inside and outside of the home. In addition to the unrest in my soul breeding resentment that rose from me having more workloads and less playdates in my life, year after year. With so many responsibilities, I felt like I was losing my sense of self. So what did I do, I rediscovered my goddess. I began journaling through my journey to redefine the Goddess in Me. And now, I ask myself, what can't this goddess do? How does this goddess learn how to start self-loving herself again? Simple....she re-unite with herself. She carefully and strategically navigates from relationships with others into a relationship with herself. In doing so, she believes she can, so she does it! She trusts everything will work in her favor, and it does! Rediscovering The Goddess demonstrates the recreation of goddess-like habits and routines to restore and rejuvenate one's self through journaling. Within these pages, I provide you, the reader, a space to create your personal daily practices as you acknowledge, accept, discover and rediscover the goddess in you. In understanding how to love, unlove and love again, this book provides the reader with the space to capture the journey from rupture to rapture.
