Radiate Love

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage is a vocation -- a calling that is God's gift for human thriving amid a sea of worldly troubles. A good marriage is also the most powerful indicator of happiness in life for the couple, the bedrock of positive life outcomes for their children, and the basic cell of society that sustains human dignity and boosts social cohesion, purpose, and commitment for the common good of all.Pope Leo XIV has said that "Many young people today ... need someone to show them in a concrete and clear way, especially by the example of their lives, what the gift of sacramental grace is and what strength derives from it." Every marriage can use a tune-up, and as a people called to be missionary disciples of Jesus, Catholics are no exception.With the help of a generous grant from the Catholic Marriage Initiatives Fund, the bishops of California joined together in 2024-25 to encourage Catholic couples to Radiate Love into the world around them, starting at home. Perfect for married couples of all ages, marriage preparation, or even couples in a dating relationship, the reflections, prayers, and activities in this book will add spiritual depth and a radiant shine to the way they live their love. In collaboration with Communio and Our Sunday Visitor, the California Catholic Conference offers these tools to Catholic couples everywhere -- for their own benefit, for the good of their children, and as a light to the world.
