INDEPENDENT SECTOR is a national coalition of organizations that share a commitment to preserving and expanding voluntary action, philanthropy, and other aspects of private initiative for the public good. The alliance includes organizations representing the full range of the nation?s voluntary and philanthropic endeavor, including over eight hundred associations, institutions, foundations, and corporate giving programs.
