Poetry for the Awakening II

For centuries poets have used the power of the pen for expression through rhyme and verse. Every word selected carefully to delight, inspire and even shock. Poetry can deliver a message and give information in a compact, direct and entertaining way. 'The Lion Within' is the second book in the Poetry For The Awakening series. It is a book consisting of poems which hold messages for this unique time. Planet Earth is going through a major transition which has been prophesied by the ancestors of many indigenous nations and tribes across the globe. If our planet really is changing then all life upon her must prepare for change too. Most of the poetry in this book has a spiritual approach and is written to help us to remember who we are and that the power lies within us to ensure that changes in our world can be for the better and that the transition to that world may not necessarily be turbulent or cataclysmic. Do we have the power to choose a world full of war and division or one of peace and harmony?154 The poetry embraces some of the difficult issues existing on our planet such as war, electromagnetic pollution, chemtrails, fracking, human suffering and greed. Challenges which will require a new humanity to resolve. We are in a time of great change and there is a challenge for humanity to awaken the lion within itself. Whatever the issue covered within this book, the intention is to bring nourishment to the soul, lightness to the heart and an uplifting for the mind. There is always an emphasis on the resolution because this book is an instrument of peace and a manual for self-empowerment. As St Francis of Assissi said, "Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, joy." So, in the face of so much destruction of the Earth and suffering of the life upon it, does humanity hold the power to heal itself and the Earth? The author thinks so.
