Produktinformationen "Pioneering Human Rights"
Founding the Vienna Master of Arts in Human Rights was a great achievement: the establishment of an interdisciplinary curriculum, in cooperation with diverse faculties at the University of Vienna, was both challenging and rewarding, especially considering the traditional separation of disciplines. As the title of this volume reveals, the first generation of Vienna Master graduates are our pioneers. By developing a strong and common identity as the first group of Vienna-educated human rights professionals, now engaged in all kinds of projects and roles around the world, they have become the first human rights ambassadors of the University of Vienna. Our students form a powerful network, a human rights family, and actively contribute to making the world a better place. The present volume contains a selection of the best theses of this first generation. They cover varied and timely human rights issues, ranging from the rights of refugees and children to peace and conflict, drug policy and the media.
