This study will seek to answer the question: Who do the Philippine Convention Baptist women say they are, and how do they navigate and negotiate within the structures and stories of the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches (CPBC) and in mission? How can their narratives contribute to a decolonial and liberating understanding of self and mission? This research is an attempt to give the Baptist women of the Philippine Convention a space to say who they are in their narratives, indigeneity and faith. A re-reading of the narratives of the Baptist mission will analyse how women were represented, hidden or silenced in the spaces and times of colonisation, revolution and the continued struggle for meaningful community life.
