Needing Nora

Despite the demands of working in the ER at New Hampton Medical Center, life is on the upswing for single parent Nora Cross, with stable health, reliable childcare, and supportive friends. Her situation takes a turn, however, when a shocking incident at her mother's house warrants a police inquiry. Mystified by her brother's odd behavior and outlandish claims, Nora seeks help from Investigator Samuel Niccolai, who she discovers has a surprising connection to her past. Applying her Sunlight Center counselor's advice to trust God amid her struggles, Nora reluctantly reaches out in kindness to her troubled and very opinionated neighbor--only to inadvertently drag her into her family drama. Then, on top of navigating family issues, Nora finds herself at odds with a supervisor and one of the doctors at work. Thrust into mounting relational difficulties and misunderstandings--not to mention looming legal implications for her family--Nora is challenged by her mentor's counsel to rely on God's ability to work things out for her good and his glory. And although her budding romance with Investigator Niccolai is an unexpected blessing, can she trust a man who withholds significant family information from her?
