In May 2007, the European Union and ASEAN agreed to launch negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA), and talks are ongoing on the specific design and membership, with a joint working committee being established. It contains the proceedings of a panel discussion on how to make an ASEAN-EU FTA work for European business. The purpose of this book is to encourage an active and constructive exchange of views and ideas between representatives of the Swedish business community in Singapore, government officials and academics.
