La sociolingüística del español en España y América: 25 años de estudios coordinados

Español En 2024 se cumple más de un cuarto de siglo desde que se pusiera en marcha la iniciativa de una investigación sociolingüística coordinada del español. Este objetivo se ha logrado en el marco del ?Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América? (PRESEEA), gracias al cual existe el mayor corpus de datos del español de las principales capitales del mundo hispanohablante recogido sobre una misma base metodológica de preestratificación sociolingüística. La investigación ha evolucionado desde una primera etapa empírica y descriptiva ?la construcción del macro corpus sociolingüístico? a la formulación de patrones sociolingüísticos de las comunidades de habla urbanas, la creación de un mapa dinámico sociogeolectal del español y la predicción de las direcciones evolutivas de esta lengua en su avance hacia el siglo XXII. Partiendo de las bases del PRESEEA, la monografía aporta una visión de conjunto sobre la investigación sociolingüística del español a través de dieciséis aportaciones relativas a una selección de comunidades hispanohablantes (Buenos Aires, Ciudad de México, Granada, La Habana, Las Palmas, Madrid, Málaga, Medellín, Pamplona, Santiago de Chile, Sevilla, Valencia), en algunas de las cuales se presenta el estado de los estudios sociolingüísticos, mientras que otras ilustran la evolución de la disciplina a través del análisis de algunos elementos variables del español. Inglés The initiative for a sociolinguistic coordinated investigation of Spanish will reach more than a quarter of a century since its setting in motion in the final years of the previous century. This coordinated study has been possible in the framework of the ?Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América? (PRESEEA), to which we owe the largest corpora of Spanish language from the main capitals of most of the Spanish-speaking countries, gathered under equal methodological bases of sociolinguistic prestratification. The investigation has developed from an initial empirical and descriptive stage ?the construction/elaboration of the sociolinguistic macro corpus? to the formulation of sociopragmatic patterns of urban speech communities, the creation of a dynamic sociogeolectal map of Spanish, and the prediction of the ongoing directions of this language in its progression towards the XXII century. On the basis of PRESEEA, this monograph provides a general view of the sociolinguistic research of Spanish through sixteen contributions related to a selection of Spanish-speaking communities (Buenos Aires, Ciudad de México, Granada, La Habana, Las Palmas, Madrid, Málaga, Medellín, Pamplona, Santiago de Chile, Sevilla and Valencia). Some of these works present the current state of the sociolinguistic studies, while others illustrate the evolution of the discipline through the analysis of certain variable elements of Spanish.
