You go there to be reminded that you need a Savior and that your life is currently in error. However, people often react negatively to this. They say, 'That's not very nice to tell those who come to church.' But let's pause for a moment. What exactly are you running here? Is it a church focused on correction and elevating the Divine, or is it a place that resembles a TED Talk with organized parking, above-average coffee, motivational speeches, good music, and disco lights? What exactly is the purpose of your church? A church, in its proper context-as the pastor has demonstrated throughout his career-should not be afraid to challenge culture. It should not conform to the world but instead preach the word. Amen.
