When Deborah was growing up, her grandmother longed for "real" apricot jam (lekvar), like what she used to eat in Hungary as a little girl. So Deborah vowed that one day she would travel to Hungary and bring back a jar of lekvar for the Nana she adored. And that is what she did, carrying the jar with her as she backpacked throughout Europe, until, finally, delivering it to her Nana.
