In addition, there is nothing much to help the reader make sense of the plethora of modern English translations that bewilder Christians today.We believe it is time to return to the high view of Holy Scripture that has quickened and strengthened Christians since Reformation times, which means the same original texts and their translation in the Authorised Version. William Gurnall (1616-79) once said: "Bless God for the translation of the Scriptures. The Word is our sword; by being translated, the sword is drawn out of its scabbard." We do not want a sword blunted by a dubious text or a doubtful translation.
