This new study provides an update of the study on Intellectual property rights and firm performance in the EU from 2021, based on new data covering the period 2013-2022, an improved matching methodology, and sampling adjusted for the 27 EU countries (now excluding the UK). It confirms the results from the previous study that firms that own IPRs generate higher revenues per employee, create more employment and pay higher wages than their counterparts without an IPR portfolio.
