For ten years he was the distribution consultant to the Bible Society in India, then twenty years the official photojournalist of the United Bible Societies - the world's largest publisher. These varied duties took him to all parts of India except Goa, Darjeeling, the Andaman Islands and a few states in the North East which were forbidden to foreigners. The book contains both his personal stories and a variety of stunning (and award-winning) photographs in black and white and colour.
