Illuminated Rhymes

Dealing with a happy but at times traumatic childhood, growing up in a rundown Inner-City borough in Coventry, West Midlands. These poems tell a story of a struggle out of a life of depression, violence, partying, drugs and crime to a life of Teaching, Self-Education and Spiritual Awakening. Although this Book of Rhymes was never meant for public consumption, it was born from needing an outlet of Self-expression, Self-motivation and Healing. Now the author wants to share her thoughts and experiences, to show that, anyone of us, no matter the background, can awaken and tap into our gifts. If you are looking for whimsical, romantic, and flowery poetry, perhaps this book will not be for you. This book of rhymes is gritty, hard hitting, no nonsense, enlightening, humorous and straight to the point. The artwork throughout the book has also been drawn by the author, helping to show the transformational leaps in consciousness experienced during her journey.
