Torn rubber slippers, worn out over coat, eyes gone in and an emaciated figure that was Ho Chi Min. But he had another dimension also. He was a serious rebel with thirst for freedom. It was a period in which the Vietnamese thought that there was no other way to live but to be slaves. They were neither courageous nor wise enough to stand united against French imperialism. But under the leadership of Ho Chi Min Vietnam stood as one country for the first time in history and fought vigorously. It was a chapter written with blood in the history of Vietnam. Millions were massacred. All the rebels and communists were imprisoned. Ho Chi Min was sentenced to death. But he fought without losing heart. The result? Liberty, yes the bliss of liberty for the country! It is a humanitarian and emotional story which showed the world that there is nothing more beautiful and wonderful than fighting for the good of the people
