Hidden Manna on a Country Road

"The manuscript includes an introduction and 40 brief chapters, each with relevant meditation verses, a contemplative description of one of my prayer walks, and a short prayer and reflection questions. The overall theme is looking for the hidden manna of God's loving presence and bountiful provision in everyday life, as a joyful and mysterious gift described to us in Revelation 2:17 as well as Exodus 16:32-34. Chapter themes include nature appreciation, mindfulness in a slower-paced lifestyle, the Missouri bicentennial, country living, and pondering the events in the United States during 2020. Though these themes are a unique combination from my point of view and this time of history, I will strive to make them timeless truths any reader can apply to his or her prayer life. My book will help Christian men and women gain new inspiration for their prayer lives. They will learn about the prayer power that is unleashed by walking in nature to disconnect from the busyness and reconnect with God. Men and women will also gain practical takeaways from each chapter to guide their own search for prayer prompts, which will deepen their relationships with God"--
