Set in a dystopian world, when sixteen-year-old Naveh Flores is physically assaulted by his mother, Miranda Flores, a chain of horrific events unfold. What was once the private turmoil of a dysfunctional family soon involves countless other individuals, who are eventually trapped and abandoned in a tall, circular tower by the malevolent Mr. Punning that wants nothing to do with them. Realising the only way out is to climb the spiral staircase travelling around the tower, Naveh and everyone embark on a quest to escape, encountering perilous obstacles along the way and confronting their own personal dilemmas. Little did they know that they were in the presence of a colossal monster the whole time, and Naveh is about to awaken that monster. The return to the outside world has never been more dangerous.
