Different people tell their stories of how the clearance affected them and where they moved to, be it to the new housing schemes that were built on the outskirts of Glasgow or maybe immigrating to another country or perhaps returning to the ancestral home in Ireland. Of course others stayed in the soo-side and when their tenement was due to be demolished they moved into some of the high rise tower blocks that were springing up.
