Is it the cocktail of tranquilizers, sleeping pills, anti-depressants, and anti-anxiety drugs Lee has been taking since learning of Devorah's death that makes her hallucinate her beloved's voice--or is Devorah being kept a prisoner somewhere in Eggerscliffe?
