He is perhaps best known for the algorithm he and Paris Kanellakis invented for checking bi-simulation. The title of this volume From Reactive Systems to Cyber-Physical Systems reflects Scott's main research focus throughout his career. It contains the papers written by his closest friends and collaborators. The contributions cover a wide spectrum of the topics related to Scott's research scientific interests, including model repair for probabilistic systems, runtime verification, model checking, cardiac dynamics simulation and machine learning.
