For the Purpose of Edificaiton

In order to properly establish the new infant church on the right foundation it had to be edified. Edification of the different members of the Body of Christ was the means to rightly build each one up into the Head, Jesus Christ, as one unified Body. To ensure such edification, the Lord gave the promise of the Spirit and the Apostle Paul established the leadership and protocol to ensure that the members would be edified in order to fulfill their place and calling within this unique, living Body.However this subject has been shrouded in much misunderstanding, misinterpretation, abuse, and conflict. Instead of people walking according to God's instructions about edification, many shy away from it and settle for man's interpretation and understanding of it. For the Purpose of Edification deals with the subject of edification by addressing the positions and gifts that have been given to ensure a healthy, productive Body. Sadly, much of the instructions, protocol, positions and gifts have caused controversy and division in the Body. The author's goal is to establish a balanced, scriptural understanding of the subject so that others can be built up to come into their place in the Body and fulfill their high calling.
