In First & Girl, Phil Curry returns to his hometown of Revelee, Texas, seeking solace after a failed marriage and a disappointing career in Dallas. As the operations manager for the Revelee Raiders, a semi-pro football team, he hopes to find stability and purpose. His life takes a turn when he reconnects with Kelly Kingman, his spirited childhood friend and now a determined fitness trainer. Their reunion, prompted by Phil's sister, rekindles a bond that hints at deeper feelings. The Raiders face a crisis when their star wide receiver is injured, prompting Phil to suggest that Kelly, a former professional women's football player, try out for the team.
