Euro-Militaire Folkestone 2005

Among numerous international competitions celebrated nowadays, Euro-Militaire is undoubtedly one of the oldest and most important in the world. 21 years ago, Charles P. Davis, Lynn Sangster and the legendary Ray Lamb, founder of the brand Poste Militaire, were inspired by their passion for the world of military miniatures and created in the English town of Folkestone this competition that is today the meeting point for the most prestigious European and international artists. The highly reputed Best of Show award is presented every year and works of exceptional quality compete for it. Winning the Best of Show at Euro-Militaire guarantees being considered one of the most important modelers worldwide.The competition receives hundreds of works every year and also has a commercial area where the most prestigious brands of the sector display their creations and where a great sense of camaraderie among painters, producers and the visiting public in general is created.During the days of the competition, the Figure International team, in collaboration with Andrea miniatures, undertook a detailed report so that the fans, whether attending Euro-Militaire or not would be able to enjoy at their will the many works that won gold, silver and bronze medals. The publication is completed with an interesting introduction by Charles P. Davis, one of the founders of the show and with the organization's official list of all this year's award-winning works.
