Eternal Eden

At the end of our spring Men's Group, I sat in the church's cafe alongside three of my brothers in Christ, discussing life-fatherhood, manhood, faith, and fellowship. The pastor and leader of the group asked a very thought-provoking question: "What do you think the world would look like if there was no sin?" We all pondered this question, and each shared our thoughts on a sinless world. I went home after that group session knowing there would be three months before we met again for the fall Men's Group. The thought stuck with me. I told my wife what Pastor had asked and mentioned that I felt like I could write the Bible, this time without sin. I began that night. It wasn't that I don't believe the Bible or question God's plan for our lives. No, I simply wanted to see how life would look in a sinless world-the way God intended. So, I grabbed my computer and went to work, keeping the books of the Bible in line and flowing with the stories of the Bible. This is just the provoked thought of one man. This is not to replace the Bible or create doubt in the minds and hearts of believers and nonbelievers alike. It is to show the difference between the world we live in-with free will, sin, and the choice to follow God or not-and a world the way God intended-with free will but no sin, in harmony with God.
