Produktinformationen "El Cazador Suelta En El Aire Su Corona"
In the second decade of this century, the poet Diego Roel--winner of the Loewe Prize in 2023--built a unique poetic oeuvre within the contemporary Argentine scene. This collected poetry presents six books that reveal the maturation of an aesthetic project centered on dialogue with the mystical and prophetic traditions of the West. From 'Dice Jonás' to 'Kadosh', Roel develops a poetics of otherness in which he takes on the voices of figures such as the biblical prophet, Hildegard von Bingen, the desert fathers, and Paul Celan. This strategy is not an intellectual exercise, but rather an expressive necessity: the poet finds in these masks the possibility of articulating a complex spiritual experience in the context of late modernity. The texts of 'Kyrios', 'Shibólet' and 'Via Lucis' demonstrate Roel's ability to work with diverse materials--from patristic to Rhineland mysticism--without falling into simple imitation. His writing manages to integrate these traditions into a personal discourse that questions both the possibility of the sacred and the limits of poetic language. This edition includes prologues by Gerardo Burton, Yaki Setton, and Lucas Margarit, which place the work in context and analyze its main procedures. This is an essential volume for understanding the recent evolution of Argentine poetry and the paths that writing can take when it does not renounce the search for meaning in times of uncertainty, which has made Roel an indispensable voice in contemporary Spanish-language poetry.
