Gander, who taught at Harvard and then Brown University, lives near San Francisco, California. The duo has presented dances, video art and installations at venues notably including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Whitney Museum of American Art. They are recipients of numerous prizes, including a MacArthur Fellowship and a Scripps Award.
