However, a range of new challenges in mechanical design comes with it, where classical as well as state-of-the-art methods are often inadequate to address the intrinsic heterogeneity of the problem. This work aims for presenting a complete process for multi-material design with a focus on the optimization of mechanical properties and the manufacturability of the solution.
