Franz von Assisi sieht die ganze Schöpfung in ihren verschiedenen Daseinsformen durch ihren gemeinsamen Ursprung auf ein Ziel hin ausgerichtet. Diesem Ziel – der Erhalt der Schöpfung durch Dienst an ihr – ist der Mensch durch ein Leben in liebevoller Verbundenheit verpflichtet. Mit Musik und Tanz möchte das vorliegende Projekt an die poetische Botschaft eines der grössten Mystiker des Abendlandes erinnern: die menschliche Verantwortung für die Schöpfung. St. Francis sees the whole of creation bound together through its singular origin by a common purpose. The Canticle begins by invoking the highest spiritual principle, turns to praising the luminaries in the sky and the elements, attends to human suffering and death, and ends by offering the vision of rebirth into a new life, lived in the service to creation – to the greater glory of the Divine. With loving attention, St. Francis seeks to follow the example of Christ: to live in simplicity and perfect interaction with all created beings. Through song, music and dance the project aims at transporting the timeless poetic message of one of the greatest mystics of the Western world.
