The knowledge produced attacks Western hegemonic thought traditions that insist on shaping the African trajectory in Western-universalist terms. Although not always successful, African alternative voices rebel against the attempts to reduce African academics and universities to a mere conduit for inculcating Western knowledge, values, and worldviews.
