A fictional storyline laced with actual murders, three of which remain unsolved as of this book going to print. The plot runs a gambit of emotions as it contains multiple murders, an infiltration of sex, and even manages occasional bits of humor. A body had floated up on Deer Lake and begun what was going to be a busy year for the local sheriff's department. It wasn't going to be easy to solve this case, especially since the police weren't the sharpest or most energetic cops to begin with, so the confusion as to who could have committed the murders was no surprise to many people. When the second dead body was found at a cabin in the woods just outside of town the confusion, community interest, and gossip ran wild. It happened just down the road from the Hancock family; a veterinarian, his wife, and their two college kids that had become involved in the dangerous life of drug trafficking. The last thing the Hancock family wanted was cops coming around asking questions about their neighbor that had just been found dead. They had their own secrets to hide and those would soon grow like weeds.
