Lexi Williams has a very simple plan for her life: get married. The fact that she isn't currently dating anyone isn't about to stop her. Because Lexi has a whole host of rules about dating and if she can just find the right person, she can apply those rules for success. Like what shade of lipstick to wear, what genre of movie to watch, and what type of food to cook. When Lexi's friends dare her to finally put her dating rules to the test and get married, she happily agrees. Her best friend from high school, Cole, just moved back to town, so that's where she'll start. When Cole turns out to be gay, Lexi sets her sights on the next available man, who just so happens to be Cole's brother. Asher Bennet has piercings and tattoos. He keeps most of his answers to monosyllabic responses. But Lexi has never backed down from a challenge. As her grandmother's eightieth birthday party looms, and her mom's insistence that she brings a boyfriend to the party, Lexi digs in and puts all her rules into action. The problem, of course, is that Asher doesn't play by the rules. Lexi and Asher seem completely different on paper but sometimes, love pops up in the most unexpected places.
