COME, LET'S PAUSE 40-DAY DEVOTIONAL JOURNAL

Pause by definition means to interrupt action or speech briefly. In the bible, in the book of Psalms, when there is a pause, you will see the word "Selah". Selah instructs us to pause or stop for a moment. The word "Selah", appears seventy-four times in the scriptures. We can therefore assume that this instruction is important to The Most High. The Psalmist David, used the word "Selah" in the scriptures during intimate times of prayer, singing and praise to the Lord. When we pause, we have made a decision to stop and be totally quiet to reflect on spiritual matters. At times the pause is voluntary and intentional. On the contrary, you may be forced to stop and think about your spiritual health. In either case, there is something waiting for us in the pause. When we decide to "Selah", we have determined that we are in need of something that only The Most High can give.
