Today, three independent nations Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are starting to open up to international research. Now it is possible for botanists and amateurs from all over the world to arrange field trip and to observe wonderful Caucasian plants in nature. The book tries to help visitors to learn what plants deserve special attention, what plants are new to horticulture.The Caucasus has a very old history and culture of hospitable population, the beauty and biodiversity of the spectacular mountain environment. Tourist can see plains and lower valleys and also glaciated mountain tops in a relative short horizontal distance, rich vegetation, flora and fauna in their altitudinal diversification.
