With his two best friends, John and James Macdonald, the three boys set off to explore the beautifully rugged and mystical Score Bay. On a cliff overlooking the bay stands Duntulm Castle and, in its shadow, sits Castledawn. The large country house has sat empty since the war, but its crumbling interior contains a dark secret that should not be disturbed. Unaware of the dangers, the friends go inside and their lives change forever.
